One police officer and several protesters have been killed today as supporters of Tehreek-e-Labbaik in Pakistan clashed with police in Lahore during an anti-Israel march. The violent clashes took place when supporters of Tehreek-e-Labbaik were marching towards the US embassy in support of Gaza and Palestine.
Punjab Police Chief Usman Anwar said the demonstrators opened fire on authorities, killing the officer and wounding others. On the other hand, TLP has said that many of its supporters were also killed or wounded during the violent clashes. Among those injured is TLP chief Saad Rizvi, who reportedly sustained several bullet wounds when authorities opened fire on demonstrators.
