Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey stressed the need to promote Fintech innovation while ensuring investor protection and market integrity. He was speaking as he welcomed members of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Fintech Task Force for its plenary meeting in Mumbai today being held on the sidelines of the Global Fintech Festival 2026. He also commended the task force for the substantial progress made through its work. The IOSCO Fintech Task Force brings together securities regulators to examine developments and regulatory challenges arising from financial technologies. The plenary is being held in Mumbai during the Global Fintech Festival, which is taking place from September 8 to 11.
