The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) organized a day-long orientation programme on the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP-2020) at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan in Agartala on Wednesday.
The event saw the participation of Chief Secretary JK Sinha and Special Secretary of Education (School) Department, Raval Hamendra Kumar, along with Director N C Sharma and other officials.
Chief Secretary JK Sinha emphasized the state’s commitment to the education sector, noting a significant allocation of the state budget towards holistic societal development. Hamendra Kumar, addressing the gathering, mentioned the department’s initiative to draft a state-level framework for NEP-2020 implementation.
The programme delved into a comprehensive review of NEP-2020’s progress in Kendriya Vidyalayas nationwide, with a focus on expediting its implementation in Tripura, aiming for nationwide adoption by 2030.
