Rupee depreciates by six paise to close at 96.26 against US dollar

 
In the forex market today, the rupee depreciated by six paise to close at 96 rupees and 26 paise against the US dollar. The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was trading at 101.97 in intra-day trade today.
