Oil prices up amid escalating situation in West Asia

 
Global crude oil prices extended gains today amid escalating tension in West Asia. Brent crude was trading over 0.3 per cent up at 85 US dollars and three cents per barrel. West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.4 per cent up at 79 US dollars and 66 cents per barrel, when reports last came in.
