Rupee depreciates by 57 paise to close at 95.24 against US dollar

In the forex market today, the rupee depreciated by 57 paise to close at 95 rupees and 24 paise against the US dollar. 
 
The dollar index, which indicates the US dollar’s strength against a basket of six other leading currencies, was trading at 101.37 in intra-day trade today.
