RS Chairman CP Radhakrishnan accepts resignation of TMC MP Sushmita Dev from Upper House

Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan has accepted the resignation of Trinamool Congress MP Sushmita Dev as a member of the Upper House. This is the second resignation from the party’s parliamentary ranks within a week amid growing internal turmoil.  After the resignation, Ms Dev met Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in New Delhi. On Monday, veteran Trinamool leader and Rajya Sabha member Sukhendu Sekhar Ray had resigned from both Rajya Sabha and the party.
