Priyanka Chopra revealed she lost a chunk of her eyebrow while filming Head of State in a rainy action scene. The film, co-starring John Cena and Idris Elba, premieres on July 2 on Prime Video. Chopra also has major upcoming projects like SSMB 29 and The Bluff.

Global superstar Priyanka Chopra Jonas, known for her daring roles and effortless style, recently opened up about a rather painful yet memorable incident while filming her upcoming action-comedy movie, Head of State.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actress shared a behind-the-scenes story that left both the host and the audience surprised and amused. While promoting the film, Chopra recounted how a seemingly simple scene led to a minor but dramatic injury on set.

Priyanka explained that during the filming of a particularly intense rain-drenched sequence, she had to roll on the ground while the camera moved in close. However, things didn’t go exactly as planned.

“The camera has a matte box, and I was supposed to roll on the floor and fall, and it was raining,” she said. “The camera was supposed to come in close to me. So the camera operator came in a little bit closer – I came in a little bit closer – and it took out a chunk of my eyebrow.”

Despite the painful moment, Priyanka maintained her sense of humor and perspective. “Could have been my eye,” she noted. “So I was very grateful that it wasn’t.”

Instead of halting production, she opted for a quick fix. “I just put surgical glue on there and stuck it,” she recalled. “Finished my day, because I did not want to come back and shoot in the rain again.”

Directed by Ilya Naishuller, Head of State is a high-octane action-comedy featuring an ensemble cast including Idris Elba, John Cena, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in leading roles. The film also stars Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, and Sarah Niles.

Chopra plays Noel Bisset, an MI6 agent who partners with characters portrayed by Elba and Cena to navigate a perilous international crisis. The trio must work together in a tense, action-packed narrative after their diplomatic mission takes an unexpected turn.

The film is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on July 2, and will be available in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, to cater to a global audience.

Head of State adds to Priyanka Chopra’s ever-growing list of international film ventures. Apart from this much-anticipated release, she has several other exciting projects in the pipeline.

She is set to star in ‘SSMB 29’, directed by SS Rajamouli, which will also feature Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. This marks Chopra’s first collaboration with the RRR and Baahubali director, sparking major buzz among Indian cinema fans.

In another upcoming project, The Bluff, a historical drama set in the 19th-century Caribbean, Priyanka takes on the role of a former pirate forced to confront her violent past to protect her family. Directed by Frank E. Flowers, the film boasts a powerful cast including Karl Urban, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green, and Vedanten Naidoo.
