Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have paid their tributes to freedom fighter Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary today.
In a social media post, Mr. Modi offered his salutations to Bhagat Singh and said that he was an immortal martyr who sacrificed his life to protect the self-respect of the motherland. The Home Minister Amit Shah said that Revolutionary Bhagat Singh Ji not only challenged British rule with a loud voice but also sacrificed his life for the freedom and golden future of the country.
Mr. Shah said that the spark of Bhagat Singh’s sacrifice became such a great flame that the wave of freedom became more intense in the entire country.
