President Droupadi Murmu will be on a four-day visit to Odisha from today. The President is visiting her home state to witness the world-famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jaganath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and Lord Sudarshan to be held on Sunday at the holy coastal town of Puri. According to Rastrapati Bhawan, Smt Murmu will grace the 96th Death Anniversary of Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Das at Bhubaneswar this evening soon after her arrival in a special Indian Air Force flight at the Biju Patnaik International Airport. 

She is scheduled to visit the historic Udayagiri and Khandagiri caves at Bhubaneswar and interact with students from Bibhuti Kanungo College of Art and Crafts and Utkal University of Culture on Monday. 

She will also inaugurate the Divine Retreat Centre of Brahma Kumaris in Haridamada village near Bhubaneswar and launch the ‘Lifestyle for Sustainability’ campaign on the same day. The President will attend the 13th Graduation ceremony of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday before returning to Delhi. All necessary security measures have been put in place at the venues where the President will be in attendance.
