President Droupadi Murmu met a group of sportspersons who brought glory to the country in various national and international championships. The President interacted with them at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi yesterday.
During the interaction, President Murmu said that the dedication, passion and unwavering commitment to excellence of the sportspersons have showcased their individual prowess and has elevated the name of India in the world of sports.
The President said that the journey of the athletes is not just about personal victories but also about giving wings to the dreams of all Indians. She further added that the eyes of all Indians will be fixed on the country’s sportspersons during the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics.
