Former Union Minister Pratima Bhoumik joined BJP’s grand victory rally in Dhanpur after the party’s electoral success in West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry and Dharmanagar. Leaders hailed the results as a strong public mandate while addressing supporters at Kathalia Bazaar.
A large public gathering and victory rally were organised on Thursday in the 23-Dhanpur Assembly constituency as Bharatiya Janata Party workers and supporters celebrated the party’s recent electoral successes in West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry and Dharmanagar. The programme was conducted under the leadership of local MLA Bindu Debnath and witnessed enthusiastic participation from party members and residents from different parts of the constituency.
The celebrations began with a massive rally that moved through several areas of Dhanpur before culminating at Kathalia Bazaar, where a public meeting was held. Party flags, slogans and music filled the atmosphere as supporters gathered in large numbers to mark what BJP leaders described as a significant political moment for the party.
Former Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik joined the rally and took part in the public programme alongside senior BJP leaders and local representatives. Addressing the gathering, she spoke about the party’s performance in West Bengal and claimed that the recent electoral outcome reflected the people’s desire for political change. According to her, celebrations were taking place across West Bengal following the BJP’s strong showing in the elections.
During her speech, Pratima Bhoumik also commented on reports of post-election violence in West Bengal, describing the incidents as unfortunate. She alleged that the ruling Trinamool Congress was struggling to accept the electoral setback and further stated that the BJP’s growing political influence would have an impact beyond the state.
The former minister also highlighted the importance of party unity and grassroots support, thanking BJP workers and supporters for their efforts during the election campaign. She said the electoral results demonstrated public confidence in the party’s leadership and development agenda.
MLA Bindu Debnath, who led the event, praised party workers for organising the large-scale celebration and said the victory reflected increasing public support for the BJP in different parts of the country. He urged party members to continue working closely with the people and focus on development-related issues in the constituency.
Several BJP leaders and office-bearers attended the programme, including BJP Sepahijala South district president Uttam Das, Kathalia Panchayat Samiti chairperson Mithu Rani Das and other senior party functionaries. Supporters continued the celebrations with slogans and cultural activities during the gathering at Kathalia Bazaar.
