CPM state secretary Jitendra Choudhury predicted that the ruling BJP was heading fast to a disastrous defeat in the next assembly elections. The opposition leader while addressing a party meet in Badharghat assembly constituency came down heavily on the BJP for hoodwinking the people of the state in the name of Vision Document in the last polls in 2018.

The lie and betrayal of the BJP were already exposed to the people as the ruling party did not keep any commitment that were given in the Vision Document. Apart from that the fascist party resorted in violence and all other tactics to thwart the opposition voice”, alleged Choudhury adding that the BJP was not hatching ‘terror tactics’ to rig the votes.

Choudhury said, “The BJP is also well aware of its failures and misgovernance during the last four and half years and now they are also preparing to face the complete rout in the next assembly elections.”

The CPM leader maintained that as this time Vision Document tactics would not work anymore with the people, the BJP had come out with new strategy publication of report card . This is yet another jumla”, he said,

Choudhury said, “ The BJP might have swept the Gujarat election, but the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had to work hard like that of Panchayat Pradhan and Councillor of Municipality there in Gujarat. But what we have seen in other states like not only in Himachal Pradesh, but also in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan, is that the BJP faced a massive poll debacle and that’s how the people of the country responded to the failure of the BJP government.”
