The state government machineries as well as the ruling party have already geared up to make the Prime Minister’s visit a grand programme.

Massive security arrangements were being planned well ahead of the VVIP visit by the state government while the BJP is contemplating to kick start the election process with Modi’s visit to the state. All senior party leaders, observers et al of the BJP are expected to remain present in the state during the Prime Minister’s visit.

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday said, “PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate various houses (grihapravesh) under PMAY scheme besides announcing several new developmental projects to boost further development in the state.

Modi , officials said, apart from inaugurating some projects will hold meetings with the senior ministers and bureaucrats and review the administrative excercises. Apart from the Prime Minister will also address a public rally at Swami Vivekananda Maidan. Besides he is scheduled to visit the Tripura Sundari temple in Udaipur.

He is unlikely to address any public gathering in Udaipur though.

A senior police official said, the proposed Prime Minister’s visit had already been conveyed to all the concerned authorities and appropriate and adequate measures were being taken.
