Padma Shri Satyaram was honored with the prestigious Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2021 for his exceptional contributions to the world of Hojagiri dance. His passion and dedication to preserving this traditional art form earned him national recognition.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, as well as numerous figures from the political and cultural realms, expressed their condolences over the passing of the Nritya Guru. Dr. Saha hailed Satyaram’s contributions, stating, “The demise of Padma Shri Satyaram Reang is an irreparable loss in the state’s cultural arena.
