Opposition MPs, including Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, today staged a protest at the Makar Dwar of Parliament against the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Review (SIR) exercise being conducted in Bihar. Holding placards and raising slogans, they demanded that the government clarify the intent and legality of the review. They also demanded the withdrawal of the  Special Intensive Review. The opposition MPs from various political parties, including Congress, SP, RJD, TMC, DMK and others, took part in the protest.
