The Covid situation though not yet alarming but one persons was reported to have died of Covid in last 24 hours.

“The situation still normal and there was indication of Covid surge as yet. But we have to remain fully alert and maintain the Covid specific restrictions and protocols”, said a senior official of the Health department.

He confirmed that  a male patient died of Covid on Thursday night  and then added that there no Covid positive case out of 656 samples that had been tested in the past 24 hours till Friday morning.

According to the official bulletin, the state’s total Covid death toll reached 920 and only one patient was under treatment at present.

It may be mentioned here that Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in a recent programme had asked the people to stay alert on the possible fourth wave of Covid pandemic. He had advised the people to start following Covid appropriate behaviour as Covid cases were on the rise in some states. 

There were Covid related deaths in other parts of the country and Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself also asked the nation to remain alert as , he said, Covid had not died out yet.

In fact,  as many as 3,545 new Covid infections was reported across the state on Friday and tally of cases reported so far to 4,30,94,938..

So far many with new fatalities the nation-wide death toll due to Covid infections to 5,24,002 on Friday morning
