The State unit of CPM has put all speculations regarding its probable understanding with Trinamool Congress at rest.
“There cannot be any understanding with the Trinamool Congress”, said CPM state unit secretary Gautam Das.
In a press conference the CPM leader pointed out that the BJP leaders like Sudip Roy Barman and others who had once brought the Trinamool Congress in the state.
“ TMC. In Tripura, Left Front is the only alternative”, said CPM secretary.
Earlier, CPM Politburo member and opposition leader Manik Sarkar and Das visited Manikbhandar in Kamalpur where the CPM party office was attacked allegedly by the BJP activists. A senior CPM leader Ranjit Ghosh was also seriously injured in the assault. They talked to the people and party cadres and asked them to resist the onslaught and remain united.
