CPM blocks Radhanagar road

The opposition CPI-M blocked the road at Radhanagar of 6-Agartala assembly constituency on Tuesday and accused the ruling BJP party of instigating trouble.

The party supporters led by senior party leader Shankar Prasad Dutta and others blocked the road and alleged that party workers were restricted from putting party flags at Radhanagar area under the 6-Agartala assembly constituency on Tuesday morning by the motorbike-borne BJP goons.

A large number of the BJP  workers gathered at Radhanagar on Tuesday morning and restricted the CPM workers from placing flags, alleged Shankar Prasad Dutta. He said that on the arrival of the police the party demanded for a legal action against the BJP workers within 24 hours.

The blockade was later withdrawn with the intervention of police. Police assured the party workers to initiate action against the culprits involved with the incident, he told reporters.
