Netflix India is gearing up for an exciting 2025 with the return of four beloved series—Black Warrant, The Royals, Mismatched, and Maamla Legal Hai—each bringing its own unique flavor to the streaming platform’s diverse content lineup.

Among the highlights is the highly anticipated final season of Mismatched, the fan-favorite coming-of-age romance starring Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf. The fourth season promises to conclude the journey of Dimple and Rishi on a high note. Speaking about the renewal, producer Ronnie Screwvala of RSVP Movies shared, “We’re thrilled to bring Mismatched back for one last season. This show has become a true fan favorite, and the love for Dimple and Rishi has grown with every season.” He also emphasized how the series has inspired fan theories and fostered a passionate community over time.

Another show making a return is Black Warrant, based on the gripping book Black Warrant: Confessions of a Tihar Jailer by Sunil Gupta and Sunetra Choudhury. Starring Zahan Kapoor, this prison drama offers a raw and compelling view of life inside one of India’s most notorious prisons. Creator-director Vikramaditya Motwane expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response to Season 1: “The love and appreciation we’ve received for Black Warrant has been deeply encouraging. We’re excited for Season 2 as we dive deeper into human stories, moral complexities, and the harsh realities of Tihar prison.”

Returning with royal flair, The Royals promises even more drama, romance, and twists in its second season. Featuring Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar, the show continues to blend fantasy and charm. Rangita and Ishita Pritish Nandy of Pritish Nandy Communications, the creators and producers, described Season 1 as “a love letter to the romcom genre” and confirmed Season 2 will amplify everything fans adored—palaces, polo races, masquerade balls, and royal intrigue.

Meanwhile, Maamla Legal Hai gears up for a new season of eccentric courtroom comedy. Season 2 introduces new cast members, including the versatile Bhojpuri star Dinesh Lal Yadav, also known as Nirahua, and the ever-entertaining Kusha Kapila. The returning ensemble—Ravi Kishan, Naila Grewal, Nidhi Bisht, and Anant Joshi—is ready to tackle another round of quirky legal cases.

Tanya Bami, Series Head at Netflix India, expressed the platform’s excitement: “There’s a special kind of joy, nervousness, and excitement in bringing back shows that have truly found a home in people’s hearts. Each of these shows has carved its own space in pop culture. What’s most exciting is the diversity—young love, prison drama, royal rom-com, and a legal sitcom—all coming back with fresh stories.”

These series are part of Netflix India’s robust 2025 slate, which also includes new seasons of other popular titles like Delhi Crime, Kohrra, Rana Naidu, and The Great Indian Kapil Show, ensuring that audiences have plenty to look forward to in the coming year.
