Nepal marked the 11th International Yoga Day today with widespread celebrations across the country. In Patan, Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli highlighted yoga’s universal message of peace and humanity. Over 7,000 people joined a mega yoga demonstration in Pokhara, organised by the Indian Embassy and Pokhara Municipality. Yoga Events were also held at iconic sites, including Lumbini, Fewa Lake, and Kathmandu’s UNESCO heritage locations. The Embassy of India conducted numerous yoga sessions nationwide, including in schools and army headquarters. A national photo contest and mass registration on the Yoga Sangam Portal further amplified public engagement with the ancient practice.
