North East Football League will be held in Tripura this time. The decision was conveyed after officials of North East Football Association held a meeting here. The associatiomn officials also called on Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb who announced announced that new training institutes would be opened for providing world-class football coaching to the youths.
In his official Facebook handle, Deb wrote that the discussions included construction of new football grounds.
During the meeting, Youth Affairs and Sports minister Sushanta Chowdhury was also present.
According to a government press release, the delegation held initial talks for organizing a North East Football League in the state.
