Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee will march towards the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Agartala Monday -the day Rahul Gandhi will appear before the agency in Delhi in relating to the National Herald case

TPCC President Birajit Sinha in a press conference on Saturday said that as part of the nationwide protest against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led central government for allegedly misusing the government machinery, the Congress party had decided to protest in front of ED offices across India.

Sinha alleged of a political vendetta by the ruling BJP government against the opposition leaders and said that as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will appear before the ED on June 13, the Congress in Tripura will protest in front of the ED office here at Agartala.

Besides, Sinha on Saturday also came down heavily on the BJP government in Tripura over Mudra loan and alleged that at a time when the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leaders are shouting on the unemployed youths across the country for start-ups, the BJP government in Tripura had failed to implement the Mudra loan to deprived the youths.

“It is the total negligence role of the government that it failed to implement the Mudra loan which was announced during the time of UPA-II government at the Centre,” he said and alleged that the BJP government is anti-farmer and anti-labour government and it needs to be ousted at the earliest.

In the meantime, the ED has once again summoned party president Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald case. She had earlier failed to appear before the ED because of her Covid infection.
