Nagaland will conduct the Urban Local Bodies elections in all 39 Municipal and Town councils on the 26th of June. The State Cabinet has given administrative approval during a meeting held yesterday.
The Municipal elections will be held in the State with 33 per cent women reservation for the first time. Counting and declaration of votes will take place on the 29th of June.
The period for filling nominations is from the 7th to the 11th of June up to 3 PM while the 20th of June is the last date for withdrawal of candidatures. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on the 13th of June. The date of re-poll if any, has been fixed on the 28th of June.
