In Manipur, two CRPF jawan- a Sub Inspector and a Head Constable succumbed to bullet injury when suspected armed miscreants attacked them from a nearby hill range. According to the Police report, the incident happened at the 2nd IRB Post at Naranseina Village under Moirang Police Station in Bishnupur district around midnight today around 12.40 AM.
The jawans of B Company of 128 Battalion CRPF were posted there to protect nearby Meetei villages. Armed miscreants from nearby hill ranges heavily attacked the post and killed two jawans while the other two sustained bullet injuries.
Additional security forces rushed to the site for search operation. A case has also been registered along with an ongoing investigation.
