Most Asian stock market indices ended on a positive note today. South Korea’s kospi surged 3.3 per cent, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index gained 0.3 per cent, Singapore’s Strait Times Index ended 0.2 per cent up, and China’s Shanghai Composite added 0.1 per cent. In contrast, Taiwan’s Taiex shed 2.2 per cent and Japan’s Nikkei 225 dropped 0.9 per cent.
Major European indices were trading on a mixed note today. Germany’s DAX slipped one per cent, while France’s CAC 40 rose 0.3 per cent and London’s FTSE 100 was trading on a flat note, when reports last came in.
