The Education department has given posting to 444 teachers and nine others under the Elementary Education on Saturday.
The figure included 248 Graduate teachers, 196 Under Graduate Teachers, 4 Lower Division Clerks and 5 Group- D staff, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said.
Addressing a press conference at his office chamber in the civil secretariat, Nath said, the Education department also issued offers to 40 Assistant Professors– 9 for Government Law College and 31 for General Degree Colleges.
“Under the Elementary Education, 1686 teachers have already been recruited by the present state government. Now, 444 teachers, 4 LDCs and 5 Group-D staff have been given postings. Similarly in Secondary Education, 1471 Graduate Teachers, 347 Post Graduate Teachers, 17 LDCs and 37 Group-D staff have been recruited,” the Education minister said.
He said, recruitment of 110 Post Graduate Teachers, 230 Graduate teachers and 200 Special Educators is in the pipeline; the offers would be issued within this month. In Elementary Education, recruitment of 3108 teachers is in the pipeline.
Nath also spoke about the recruitment under the Higher Education department.
He said, after the formation of the government in 2018, 38 Assistant Professors (Group-A, Gazetted) have been recruited. Besides, 57 diploma-level Lecturers for technical institutions, 10 Principals for Government Degree Colleges, 10 Group-C staff and 13 Group-D staff have also been recruited.
Under the Higher Education department, recruitment of 5 Kokborok teachers, 4 Principals for diploma-level technical institutions (Polytechnic), one Principal for TIT, 6 Assistant Professors for B.Ed College (M.Ed course) and 6 Assistant Professors for degree-level technical institution (TIT) is in the pipeline, Nath said.
He said, Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) on Saturday issued a notification inviting applications for Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET).
