RSS Sarasanghachalak Dr Mohanrao Madhukar Bhagwat arrived here on three –day visit on Monday. In the evening Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb called on the RSS head at Sevadham.
The Chief Minister apprised the RSS head of various welfare activities in the state. Dr. Bhagwat was briefed about the heritage, traditional practices and socio-economic development of the Janajati people.
The RSS Chief reportedly expressed his satisfaction over the state government’s priority for the welfare of backward class and Antodaya group.
He also appreciated the state government’s achievement in Covid management and vaccination drive and the works being implemented by the government for all sections of people, the source said.
Meanwhile, a massive security arrangement has been put in place at Sevadham following the visit of the RSS head, who is Z plus protectee.
According to sources, during his stay in Tripura, the Sarsanghchalak will discuss organizational matters at various levels and pass directions for the future plans.
It would be the second visit of Bhagwat in the state since 2017. His visit assumed to be significant as the state would go to assembly polls after one year.
