Men’s Cricket: India to take on Zimbabwe in second T20I at Harare

Must Read

In Men’s Cricket, India will take on hosts Zimbabwe in the second T20 International of a three-match series at Harare today. The match will begin at 04:30 PM IST. The visitors took a 1-0 lead in the game after a dominant seven-wicket win in the opening match on Thursday. Chasing a target of 126 runs, India reached the score in just 13.2 overs, powered by young opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s explosive 50 off 19 balls.

The 15-year-old became the youngest player to score a men’s T20I half-century, creating a new record. Earlier, Zimbabwe managed 125 for 7 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first. India’s bowlers kept the pressure on, with Mayank Yadav making an impressive comeback with two wickets and helping restrict the hosts to a modest total.

India will look to continue their dominance and take an unassailable lead in the series, while Zimbabwe will aim to bounce back and level the contest. India has a strong record against Zimbabwe in T20 internationals, winning 12 of their 15 meetings, with Zimbabwe winning three matches.
