A special discussion will be held in the Lok Sabha today on India’s first astronaut, Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, aboard the International Space Station, focusing on the critical role of the space programme for Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said, captain Shukla has returned home after a successful mission to the International Space Station. He said, the Parliament will honour him with a special discussion on achieving this historic milestone and India’s growing space ambitions in the country’s journey towards Viksit Bharat. He hoped that the way all the members took part in the discussion on Operation Sindoor, the same way all parties will take part in the discussion and congratulate Captain Subhanshu Shukla and Indian scientists.
