In Tennis, defending champion Jannik Sinner will face Carlos Alcaraz in the men’s final of the Cincinnati Open 2025, tomorrow. This will be their fourth meeting of the year, all in finals. Alcaraz beat Sinner in Rome and at the French Open, while Sinner struck back with a win in the Wimbledon final.
Sinner has been dominant in Cincinnati, reaching the title clash without losing a set and extending his hard-court winning streak to 26 matches. Alcaraz had a tougher path, battling through three-setters against Damir Dzumhur and Andrey Rublev, but is into his first Masters 1000 hard-court final since Indian Wells 2024.
In the women’s draw, Iga Swiatek reached her first Cincinnati final by beating Elena Rybakina 7-5, 6-3. The World No. 1 will play either Jasmine Paolini or Veronika Kudermetova for the title tomorrow. A win would give Swiatek her first Cincinnati trophy, an 11th WTA 1000 crown, and move her past Coco Gauff to World No. 2 ahead of the US Open.
