The Lions Club of Agartala, Anish, is actively engaged in community service, demonstrating their commitment to helping those in need. Secretary Biswajit Banik shared that the club is dedicated to serving people, with various programs planned throughout the month to fulfill this noble objective.

On a recent Sunday, members of the Lions Club organized a meaningful initiative at Gamchakobra ADC Village in Lefunga. The focus of the program was a blanket distribution and a diabetes detection camp, reflecting the club’s holistic approach to community welfare.

Biswajit Banik explained, “Lions Club of Agartala, Anish got chartered in November 2023. It was formed with the joining of a few like-minded people who wanted to make a difference in our communities and in the lives of the people by serving them in times of need.”

During the event, the Lions Club distributed blankets to 55 families, providing warmth and comfort during the winter season. Additionally, a free health check-up camp for diabetes, blood pressure, and oxygen monitoring was organized, benefiting around 30 individuals in the Gamchakobra ADC Village in Lefunga.

Dr. Ranjan Bose, a dedicated member of the club, played a crucial role in assisting with the diabetes detection camp, contributing to the success of the health-focused initiative.

The presence of key club members, including President Rupasri Paul, Treasurer Dhrubojyoti Shil, 1st Vice President Sajal Kumar Paul, and others, underscored the collective effort of the Lions Club of Agartala, Anish, in making a positive impact on the lives of the community members. Through their hands-on approach and commitment to service, the Lions Club continues to embody the spirit of benevolence and community support.
