Two persons were killed when lightning struck Raj Chantai area under Bodhjungnagar police station on Saturday. Police confirmed the two deceased as Sudhan Debbarma (26) of Basimara and Narendra Debbarma (40) of South Madhupur. They were hit by the lightning in the afternoon and died on the spot, police said, adding that the bodies were sent to GBP hospital for post mortem.
In the meantime, reports reaching here from various parts of the capital said due to massive lightnings that struck on Saturday afternoon many houses found their computer modems, TV Sattop box , and other electronic gadgets got damaged.
