In Badminton, star Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen has advanced into the Men’s Singles finals of the Australian Open. The 2022 Commonwealth Games champion defeated second seed Chou Tein-Chen of Chinese Taipei 17-21, 24-22, 21-16 in a nail-biting semi-final in Sydney yesterday. Sen will face 26th-ranked Yushi Tanaka of Japan in the Summit clash today. Lakshya Sen remains the lone Indian shuttler in contention after defeating compatriot Ayush Shetty in the quarter-finals. The men’s doubles duo of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy has also bowed out of the tournament after losing in the quarter-finals.
