DIG (Crime & Int.) Krishnendu Chakravertty has been awarded President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service- also known as Indian Police Medal. Six other police personnel have also been awarded in the same category.
They are, Sudarshan Das, Asstt. Commandant of 7th- Bn TSR, Raju Das, Naib Subedar (GD) of 6th-Bn TSR, Pintu Das, Naib Subedar (GD) of 9th-Bn TSR, Paban Debnath, Hav (Opr) of 9th-Bn TSR, and Babul Ghosh, Head Constable (AB) of KTDS PTA.
Besides, Home Guard Pandit Sarkar has been awarded the Home Guard and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service.
On the other hand, Rajib Sutradhar, Addl. SP, Khowai has been awarded the Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Investigation for the year 2023.
In a social media post, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha hailed the achievements and congratulated the recipients.
