Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade star in The India Story, a powerful socio-national drama on pesticide misuse and public health crisis, releasing worldwide on July 24, 2026 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.

A powerful socio-national drama exploring the dark realities of chemical misuse and pesticide farming is set to arrive in cinemas this July. The makers of The India Story: Slow Poison in Progress have officially announced that the film will release worldwide on July 24, 2026, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.

Presented by Zee Studios in association with MIG Production & Studios, the upcoming film stars Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade in lead roles. Directed by Chettan DK and written and produced by Sagar B Shinde, the movie is already drawing attention for its intense subject matter and socially relevant narrative.

The announcement was made through the production house’s official social media handles along with a striking new poster. The caption accompanying the poster read, “The field that feeds you. The field that buries you. #TheIndiaStory, Slow Poison In Progress, In Cinemas 24th July 2026.” The makers also confirmed that the teaser of the film will be released soon, increasing anticipation among cinema lovers and social drama enthusiasts.

Unlike conventional family dramas, The India Story: Slow Poison in Progress focuses on a broader national issue linked to chemical misuse in agriculture and the long-term impact of pesticide farming on public health. According to the makers, the film highlights the hidden dangers caused by industrial negligence and raises important questions regarding accountability, awareness, and environmental safety.

The recently unveiled poster offers a disturbing yet thought-provoking glimpse into the film’s world. Its dark visual tone and symbolic imagery hint at a hard-hitting narrative that attempts to expose a crisis affecting millions across the country. The film aims to deliver both emotional storytelling and a strong social message.

This marks the first on-screen collaboration between Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade, a pairing that has already generated excitement among audiences. Industry observers believe the actors will bring emotional depth and intensity to their characters, especially considering the film’s serious and realistic backdrop.

The project also boasts an experienced technical team. Cinematography has been handled by Nishant Bhagwat, while music composition is by Mangesh Dhakde. Editing responsibilities have been taken up by Ashish Mhatre, with lyrics written by Shakeel Azami and sound design by Anmol Bhave. The film is backed by co-producers Sumit Bagade, Anita Jadhav, Vinayak Saidani, Kalpesh Shah, Devyani Khorate, and Prem Joshi.

With socially conscious cinema gaining wider acceptance among audiences, The India Story: Slow Poison in Progress is expected to spark conversation around agricultural practices, public health concerns, and environmental responsibility. As the release date approaches, the makers are likely to intensify promotions with the upcoming teaser and additional promotional material.
