A delegation of Agartala Press Club and Bishalgarh Press club visited the injured media person Mannan Haque at GB Hospital on Friday. Haque was found lying injured on Bishalgarh Bypass road on Thursday evening and was later rescued by the fire personnel. He was admitted to the GB Hospital last night with critical injuries. Secretary of Agartala Press club Pranab Sarkar, convenor of the FDPMC Sebak Bhattacharjee along with Surajit Pal and members of Bishalgarh press club including president of Bishalgarh press club Bhabatosh Ghosh went to inquire about the health condition of Haque. Later, Pranab Sarkar said, Haque is unable to speak, as of now. As a result, exactly what happened with him remained unknown to us. After he narrates the happenings, we will decide our future course of action.

Leaders of another media body, AOJ condemned the ‘attack’ on Mannan Haque and demanded punitive actions against the culprits. Meanwhile, Sonamura Press club also condemned the incident and prayed for his speedy recovery.
