In Jammu and Kashmir, 11 assembly constituencies in the Jammu district are all set for polls, with over 12 lakh voters expected to exercise their right to vote on October 1 during the third and final phase of the Legislative Assembly elections. The Jammu district comprises eleven assembly constituencies with a total of 12 lakh 977 voters, including 6 lakh 19 thousand 66 male, 5 lakh 81 thousand 887 female, and 24 third-gender voters.

For smooth and hassle-free facilitation of voters, the Election Commission has established 1,494 polling stations across the district, with 609 urban and 885 rural polling stations. To encourage voter participation, dedicated polling stations have been set up for persons with disabilities, Polling booths managed by women as Pink Polling Stations and other categories like Green Polling Stations and Unique Polling Stations.

The upcoming elections will also be a significant moment for 47 thousand 963 first-time voters. Meanwhile, all arrangements are being made for a smooth and peaceful polling process. Numerous voter awareness programs are currently underway throughout the district to emphasize the importance of voting and to maximize voter turnout.
