Ruling BJP failed the implement its promises in the Vision documents of 2018 and cheated the people of Tripura in all front. Alleged CPM secretary Jitendra Choudhury in Khowai on Friday.

Choudhury who was leading the poll campaign of the opposition CPM held several other meetings across the state and everywhere he sought to remind the electors that the ruling party could fulfil –‘even one of its 299’- made in the Vision Document.

“People were led to the garden path by the BJP before the 2018 elections. They elected the BJP believing that it would bring about some developments, enhance the quality of life and give employments”, Choudhury said adding . “But it failed. People were cheated”.

“Not only that there was no development for the last 58 months. Fact is the BJP has let loose a fascist reign in the state throttling the opposition voice and launching attacks at a drop of a hat”, maintained the CPM secretary.

While the Marxist felt the promises like the jobs to the retrenched teachers were conveniently forgotten the local leaders of the BJP started indulging in blatant corruptions and eating up the fund for MGNREGA types schemes”.

Result is , he felt, death of democracy in Tripura.

“There were remarkable developments and improvements during the Left Front governments in Tripura. The state was marching ahead in all fronts. But now we are lagging in all aspects”, claimed Choudhury.

He called upon the people of the state to give a befitting reply to the BJP this time and vote for the Left Front once again.
