In Tennis, World No. 1 Jannik Sinner stormed into the final of the Italian Open, defeating Daniil Medvedev 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 in the semi-final clash at the Campo Centrale in Foro Italico, Rome, yesterday. Sinner will now face Casper Ruud in the final clash today. The semi-final match between Sinner and Medvedev started on Friday. However, as rain fell late in the evening, officials suspended play until the next day. When the match resumed yesterday, it was over almost as soon as it restarted. Medvedev saved two match points, but Sinner soon sealed the victory, finishing the contest just a few minutes after returning to court.
