Must Read

In a move to immediately de-escalate the situation in West Asia, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is scheduled to meet with his counterparts of Germany, France and the UK in Geneva today. As per media reports, the Ministerial delegation of three European nations will first meet with the EU’s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas, at Germany’s permanent mission in Geneva before holding nuclear talks with the Iranian Foreign Minister.

On the other hand, Russia has said that a change of regime in Iran will be unacceptable. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that the assassination of the country’s Supreme Leader will open Pandora’s box. Russia also warned the US against military intervention in the Iran-Israel conflict. Russia’s Foreign Ministry’s spokeswoman added that Washington’s military intervention will be an extremely dangerous step with truly unpredictable negative consequences.

Meanwhile, the conflict between Israel and Iran has entered its seventh day. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) claimed that Iran fired missiles in southern Israel today. Earlier, IDF Spokesperson had said that Iran targeted the Soroka Hospital in Beer Sheva yesterday. The simultaneous attacks on critical infrastructure by both sides represent the most intense phase of direct military confrontation between them in recent history.
