In IPL Cricket, the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings was abandoned due to rain at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata last night. Opting to bat after winning the toss, Kolkata Knight Riders got off to a disastrous start, reaching 25 for the loss of two wickets in just 3.4 overs before rain halted play.
 
Punjab Kings pacer Xavier Bartlett dismissed overseas stars Finn Allen and Cameron Green in the second over. With no result possible, both teams shared a point each. It was the first point for the Ajinkya Rahane-led Kolkata Knight Riders, while the Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings moved to the top of the points table, remaining unbeaten with two wins and one no-result.
 
In today’s fixture, Rajasthan Royals will take on Mumbai Indians at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati at 7:30 PM Indian Standard Time. Rajasthan Royals are currently placed third on the points table, while Mumbai Indians are in sixth position. Royal Challengers Bengaluru occupy the second spot.
