Earlier, Delhi Capitals posted 264 for 2 in 20 overs, powered by KL Rahul’s unbeaten 152. Nitish Rana also added 91 as the pair put on a 220-run stand for the second wicket in 95 balls. Rahul’s 152 is the highest score by an Indian batter in IPL history.
In reply, Punjab Kings got off to a flying start with opener Prabhsimran Singh scoring 76 off 26 balls, while Priyansh Arya made 43 off 17 deliveries. Skipper Shreyas Iyer then anchored the chase with an unbeaten 71 off 36 balls, guiding his team to victory with seven balls remaining.
