India wins one silver and two bronze medals at U17 World Wrestling Championships

In U17 World Championships, Indian wrestler Nikita Sehrawat settled for a silver medal while Kamna Babal and Garima bagged bronze medals in the women’s event in Baku, Azerbaijan yesterday. In 57 kg category final, Nikita suffered a 0-6 defeat to Epenesa Elison of the USA. In the 49 kg category, Kamna Babal defeated Russia’s Irina Tsydeeva 3-2 in the third-place play-off match. In the 73kg bronze medal match, Garima defeated Spain’s Paula Benaixa Perez by technical superiority.
