Union Government has said that a total of 236 cases of Covid variant Omicron have been reported so far in the country. Out of these total cases, 104 patients have already recovered. A maximum number of 65 cases have been reported so far from Maharashtra followed by Delhi and Telangana. Omicron cases have been reported in 16 States and Union Territories.
Health and Family Welfare Ministry today said, over 139 crore 70 lakh doses of COVID vaccines have been administered in the country under the nationwide vaccination drive. The Ministry said, more than 70 lakh 17 thousand Covid vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours to the beneficiaries.
Six thousand 960 Covid patients have recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate stands at 98.40 percent. More than three crore 42 lakh eight thousand patients have recovered from COVID-19 in the country so far.
The country reported seven thousand 495 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. Currently, India’s active caseload is 78 thousand 291. The active cases constitute 0.23 percent of the country’s total positive cases, which is the lowest since March last year. The Ministry said, more than 66 crore 86 lakh COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far.
