At the Asian Athletics Championships 2025 in Gumi, South Korea, India finished second in the medal tally with 24 medals. India clinched eight gold, 10 silver and six bronze in the Championships. In addition, Animesh Kujur and Parul Chaudhary set new National Records.
On the last day of the championship today, India bagged 3 silver and 3 bronze medals. In the women’s 4×100 metre relay race, Indian team of Srabani Nanda, Abhinaya Rajarajan, Sneha SS, and Nithya Gandhe claimed silver medal. In womens 5000 metres final, Parul Chaudhary clinched silver, while Sachin Yadav claimed silver in Men’s Javelin Throw. Pooja won a bronze in womens 800 metres final, while Animesh Kujur claimed it in 200 metre event and Vithya Ramraj in 400 metre Hurdles.
