In Sudan, at least six people were killed and 15 were injured in a drone strike targeting a hospital in the capital of North Kordofan State. These included patients, their companions, and medical staff. Seven of the injured were reported in critical condition. The strike caused significant damage to the hospital, forcing it to halt medical services.
The drone attack coincided with artillery shelling on the nearby town of Bara, also in North Kordofan State, posing a serious threat to civilians.
Armed clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have intensified across the Kordofan region, which includes North, West, and South Kordofan states. Sudan has been engulfed in a brutal conflict between the SAF and the RSF since April 2023. The war has killed a huge number of prople, and forced millions to flee their homes, both within Sudan and across its borders.
