In shooting, India added four more medals at the ISSF Junior World Championship, including a gold medal by teenager Pritam Kendre, to strengthen its position at the top of the medals tally.
Pritam Kendre clinched gold in the 10-metre Air Rifle Men’s Junior event, earning country’s fifth gold medal of the championship.
In the 25-metre Pistol Women Junior Team event, the trio of Anjali Mahendra Bhagwat, Parisha Gupta and Nithila Ivy Darling Praveen Christopher secured the bronze medal.
Another bronze came in the 25-metre Pistol Men Junior Team event, where Abhinav Choudhary, Raj Chandra and Jatin delivered a strong performance to finish among the medal winners.
Earlier, Anvii Rathod won bronze in the 10-metre Air Rifle Women Junior event. India’s overall medal tally has now risen to 12, comprising five gold, one silver and six bronze medals.
