The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall at isolated places over Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat Region, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Bihar today. IMD also predicted heavy to heavier rainfall at isolated places over Chhattisgarh, East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Maharashtra and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. The weather agency said that the monsoon will move further into North and Central India in the next 2-3 days. As per the IMD, Bihar, Haryana, Delhi, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, and Punjab can experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds.
