The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red color warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall, with isolated extremely heavy rainfall, over Odisha till tomorrow. It added that Bihar is likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall till tomorrow. IMD said that similar conditions are expected over Northeast India, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and West Bengal during the next two days. The Met Department has predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, and Telangana till tomorrow. Similar conditions are likely to prevail over Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Uttarakhand during the next two days.
Meanwhile, heat wave conditions are likely to prevail over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal till tomorrow. The weather agency has also predicted hot and humid weather conditions over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka, Punjab, Rayalaseema, and Uttar Pradesh during the next two days.
